    Hey all,

I've not had much problem getting reallib installed, seems to play just fine when i hit the play button in FFMPEGX but I'm completely unable to re-encode anything. I want to move them to H.264 but when i set it up just as i would for say an avi the encoding allegedly finishes in 1 sec. When i click the information button i get this:

The Play button uses mplayer to decode your source file; not ffmpeg, which is a separate decoder. The correct playback using the Play button then should ensure a succesful conversion with presets that use mplayer to decode. Pick such a preset, e.g. h.264 mencoder.

Ok, i've switched over to mencoder, but now i get an entirely new problem: the status bar never gets to a progress bar, it just spinns the blue and white diagonal stripes. when i inspect it i get this:

Can't you let it run and judge the output file?

Yeah ok, i just figured since i wasn't getting a progress bar it probably wasn't actually working and was chewing up my cpu in an infinate loop. Will try overnight.

Processing RealMedia files with ffmpegX always result in the "infinite" prgoress bar which givees no indications on the encoding status. If you check the "Open a Terminal Window" option you will get more informations about the encoding progress.
