standalone divx dvd player? then it may be enough to just add the avi and srt on the cd and name them like video.avi and video.srt

any standalone dvd player? then use ConvertXtoDVD, add the avi and srt and make a DVD.

  3. Adding subtitles externally does not work,I tried to mux using SubMux v2.23 from Gabest and AviMuxGui,i tried ConvertXtoDVD but i have a problem when I add the ogm or mkv file it does not see the subtitle streams if I add avi the file it does not see the audio streams. The only option i see is adding the sub permanently.I tried to add using VirtualDubMod and the Subtitler.vdf plug in from Avery Lee but it takes 5h to re encode.Do you know a program or a way to do it faster.
Or to stop and resume tomorrow.

it's taking to long, and making a big file too, because you are making an uncompressed video file.
you must change the compression type and select another video compression codec, other than the default (uncompressed RGB) and also do the same for the audio

if im going to add audio, there is almost the same output file size as the OGM but if adding a subtitle through filter i must use the full processing mode. i dont know how to use avisynth and im inputing 2 audio and 1 sub just like that of an ogm.

anyways, how did it go using avisub?

    here some steps
    1. open avisub
    2. push button "Load Avi"
    3. check checkbox "Delete Temp Files"
    4. push button "Load srt...."
while message box about "line too long" appears
    select smaller "font size"
    goto step 4
    end

    5. if all ok press button "Generate subbed avi"

when it finishes you have a playable .divx file
burn it and play it on dvd player
    choose desired subtitle
    thats all

    unfortunately ann error occurs.
    i dunno why?
anyways, i quoted this from maya chan in http://forums.3ivx.com/ and currently trying now.
still editin the sub cus it has so many /N.

[quote](I had 4 folders to stay oranized 1. for video(no sound or subs) one for audio one for subs and one for final avi's)

    1. open ogm file with VirtualDubMod

    2. go to streams list

    3. Demux 2nd Audio (Japanese)(saved as ogg)

    4. Demux subs (saved as srt)

    5. disable all streams

    6. file->save as whatever the show is (kenshin 1)(direct stream copy)

    7. open srt with vobsub's subresync

    8. Save as same name but as a ssa

9.open program ace-high mp3 wav wma ogg converter

    10. convert audio ogg to wav file

    11. reopen virtualdubmod

    12. open the video you made with everything disabled (the one with no sound or subs)

    13. go to streams list add the wav file

    14.go to video- filters add-then load subtitler.vdf
    (found at)http://www.virtualdub.org/virtualdub_filters

    15. it will promt you for an .ssa sub file load the one you created with sub resync

    16. put them together--> file save as make sure it is full proccessing mode and for compression change it to the Divx 5.2.1 Codec, so you don't end up with a hugh file.

    17. watch your Avi as normal

    hope this helps someone quote]

yup, the latest of all codecs.. haha. divx6.

well, maybe i'll get the above procedure right. i used xvid codec cuz you can control the output file and the quality is just like the same. well, they say its the best coddec in compression... and xvid is what dattebayo uses for their files.

but you made the font size smaller? choose 14 or 12.

  15. Run your subs through SubtitleWorkshop, get it to auto fix errors then go through them manually and fix the "too long line" errors. Lastly run the subs and avi through avisub, job done!

Burn the entire video_ts folder, https://www.videohelp.com/author#3;25.

    Or burn with convertxtodvd.
