    Welcome to our forums.

What are your Premier questions? I don't use the program, but there are others here that do.

And it would be better to edit your title to something like 'New here. Editing questions about Premiere?'. Then just ask your questions in this same thread. This makes it easier for others to find your topic during searches and you won't need to start a new thead. This time, I will change your title.

is there a way with time lapse (speeding up the video) to make one point of the video color and then going into black and white color?

Not sure I understand. These are two separate effects. One is speeding up the video, the other is adjusting the colour saturation.

Perhaps you can describe a little more clearly exactly what you are trying to do.

Check out www.wrigleyvideo.com/videotutorials - that's a good source of info for basic editing in Premiere, as well as excellent info in the forums.

Fair call too. Hadn't noticed there had been a thread-jacking.

    I so desperately need sleep . . . . . .

Some of us use Premiere. If we can't answer your question, we can point you to those who can.

A program like Premiere can be used in so many ways.

Yes, do the time lapse editing first then razor where you want color change on the timeline. If they are cuts, just change filter settings. Some filters can be keyframed and splines can be applied to vary the effect over time.

Save often so you can go back. I'd do the color changes as an overlay to make further editing easier. Duplicate the motion track to a higher second track, then edit colors there. This makes it easier to change it later. Many ways to to do it.

The good thing about editing colors on a higher track is you can vary opacity to fade in and out of the color effect, even mask it to a portion of the frame.
