    I am having trouble trying to back up MI3 and Keeping up with the Steins. I can use DVDFabDecrypter to put it on my hard drive. But when I use DVDShrink to shrink the movie only it gets to about 35% and errors out. All it says is Shrink has a problem and needs to shut down. I have tried VOBBlanker and VTSFix with no luck. Does anyone have any suggestions? Is this due to the rip or the shrink portion of the backup?

    usually a (computer) system error/incompatibility. does this happen with other movies too? or just these 2....

    Yes Noki that is all it says. Does not give any error codes or details. Just needs to shut down. As far as other movies goes, I don't know. Those are the only two I have tried lately. If it is a computer/software problem I don't know what it could be. Haven't done or installed anything on the pc since last time I backed up a disk. Other then DVDFabDecrypter (3.0.3.5) upgrade.

    Maybe you could try Nero Recode instead of DVD Shrink and see what happens...

    Maybe you should try using ripit4me. I had no problem with MI3. I ripped, completed VTSFix, and opened Shrink. Worked fine and I checked the result DVDR with my PC and standalone player.

    I backed up both of those movies without any problems by using Ripit4me, Fixvts, Dvd Shrink & DVD Rebuilder. Use the Ripit4me guide:

    After successfully ripping both movies I used Dvd Shrink for the "STEINS" movie and Dvd Rebuilder for "MIII" movie.
