I'd like to know if a source like vhs tape can be originally recorded at S-VHS res (if it can handle the S-VHS res) and then, using VirtualDub, I can capture at 400x400 resolution?
When capturing at this resolution, which is better: make an xVCD or resizing the AVI (captured with Divx codec) into 480x480 SVCD resolution with TEMPGEnc resize filter?
Also, how to calculate the best output bitrate in DIVX codec? I set it up to 1150kbps (like vcd bitrate)
Any help is welcome.
