    Hello if anyone can help me it would be great because I am newto some of this.Now i work at a underage jail and I cant bring in full dvds I have to have the edited for legal reasons,now here is the problem:

    I have avi movie files and when I try to convert them over to mpg format they are VERY dark and it never convert the whole movie,So how can I brighten up the movie in mpg format and also get the entire thing because I tried avi format and there dvd player wont take it so I figure I would use mpeg1/dvd.....if I wrote that right......Now I use nero to burn with and alive video converter to make them in mpg's.Please anyone can you help?

    First, try a different tool to perform the conversion.

    Second, If they continue to fail in the same spot, you could have a corrupt file.

    Krispy is right, sometimes I have to use 2 or 3 different tools before I can get a decent conversion. TMPGEnc and ConvertMovie work well for me although to use most converters (including those) you would need to pay for a licence to use to whole package.
