Is is version of VLC allowed to Screen Capture?

To be more specific.

Right-click on the video window and select 'Snapshot,' or select the same option under the Video menu. (Note: neither Snapshot option will appear unless you have a video loaded.)
This should save a snapshot to whatever directory you have specified under Preferences > Video > Snapshot > Video Snapshot Directory (however, I don't know where it'll go if you leave the field blank), in either PNG or JPEG format (depending on which format you have selected in the Video Snap Shot Format option underneath the Video Snapshot Directory field.)
If cameras add ten pounds, why would people want to eat them? -
i didnt see the snap option..
so i asked
is this version allowed to snap?

i dont want a bigger fatter program
so i hesitated to update to the lastest versionTo be more specific.
