I have a SupportPlus PMP51C Player. All my video files (divx, avi) run choppy in my player. I downloaded a video file and it ran smooth. Is there a way I can use the specs on that video file and apply it to the files that are running choppy. In other words can I duplicate how that file was converted and convert all my other video files so they can run as smooth as that one?

Identify the video codec, audio codec and video frame size/resolution, bitrate on the video that works fine with for example gspot. Then use that settings when converting to a new clip...if divx, xvid use AutoGK!.

If you happen to figure out what Divx codec that is, I'd love to know. I've got a Supportplus 20GB PMP and I can't figure out a workable conpression codec and video/audio compression.

The out of sync audio is pissing me off.

I can help you with converting them to the format if you need a hand understanding.
    Uhhh, Hello?

Downconverting the files to "Portable video" or "pocket" in the freeware Dr. Divx might help.

Did you ever figure this out? I think it might be the firmware upgrade to 2.26. When I first got it, all of the features worked on my Supportplus they are all mucked up after installing the 2.26 firmware.

Camera and Video don't work (taking video) and playing encoded video is pretty choppy and pixelated. Audio still works but with my luck it will be out by next week. Let me know if you ever fixed this. I found a site where the v2.20 is but trying to install it back doesnt work. Does anyone know how fix any of this? Is there a way to go back to another previous version of the firmware? HELP.....!

Did anyone ever come up with a solution to this problem? I just purchased an SP-PMP51C and find that I too am having the exact same trouble. I've tried XviD w/VBR mp3 audio, XviD w/CBR mp3 audio, DivX w/VBR mp3 audio & DivX w/CBR mp3 audio. None of them come out correctly. The only thing I have found is that DivX does seem to play a lot smoother than XviD (although the audio is still out of sync) as long as the DivX codec used is DivX 5. If DivX 6 is used, the resulting video seems just as "jerky" as if the XviD codec were used. I've been working on this for several days now and am just about ready to pull my hair out. HELP!!!!

  7. Establish the file extension, then try downloading AVS video converter softwafe and convert the other files to that extension.

AVS converters to the following formats; AVI, DVD, MP4, NPEG, MOV. WMV, RM and SWF. So long as the file format that you want to use is one of then you should be OK.

I Had the same problem with my MEDION PMP player.

download a program called Mpeg4Modifier and Unpack the audio stream and your video will play smooth

its only take a few minutes do fix an entire movie.

(the downside of doing this ive read is, editing a movie with unpacked audio can have problems.
I dont know if this is true or not, as i dont edit my movies)
