  1. Hello all, Well I'm new here and have been doing a lot of research on making vcd's. My current set up is this: Duron 700 MHg, VIA chipset, 320MB RAM, 20GiG hard, and ATI Rage Fury Pro video/graphics card. My problem is this, and sorry if this is repeated question, but the search is down right now! I am trying to use Virtualdub as the capture software to use to make my AVI's. The dub software says"no capture driver found". From researching Virtualdub's website, they say i need to have a Video For Windows capture driver for Virtualdub to work. ATI's Rage pro doesn't include this driver on the software bundle cd that came with the card. Went to ATI's website, and they had an updated driver for windows ME and 98, that included a Video For Windows driver. I downloaded it, and installed it, and still the same message from Virtualdub! I read somewhere that MMC 7.1 comes with the bundle cd, and not to install that, but instead, install MMC6.4, suposedely on the bundle cd, but no luck finding it! Can anyone help me in using this card to cap video? The rec program sucks on the bundle software, and I really want to use Vdub! I know this card sucks, but its all I can do with for now. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated!

  2. Hi eclipsed,

    I had the same problem
So, I'd installed MMC 6.2 first, then MMC 7.1 and it's OK
I'm using the last driver 4.13.7192

    Good luck
    Regards.

  5. I installed the MMC 7.5, re-booted, VirturalDub still could not the device, now i have the WDM Wrapper, installed works great. So look to the left, go to the Capture Cards, under the ATI All-In-Wonder Radeon 32Mb DDR VCDHelp Review, go down to the forth paragraph and find WDM Wrapper (it's Underlinded (Linked) download, there are three files in the ZIP, after you unzip, right click on the INF, install, as soon as I did this everything work as planned, did not have to unstall or reinstall anything. Hope this helps

Bud, the question is,... Did you Uninstall MMC 7.1 before you installed MMC 7.5 or did you just overlay it?

Sometimes it is critical to know the exact steps. Thanks for the info.

  7. Did a total uninstall, just like it said on this site, then re-install 7.5, after that I attempted to use VirturalDub, could not, went out and found the WDM Wrapper, installed it, VirturalDub Capture came right up, no problem, by the way I'm running WIN2000 Pro

  8. If you go to the What Is.. Capture on the left top, then select the ATI All-In-Wonder Radeon 32Mb DDR and follow the isntruction EXACTLY as written including downloading the DirectX8, the Windows Video Update, and the ATI drivers, and I mean EXACTELY don't miss anything, the last thing to do was not listed there ahd that was to download teh WDM Wrapper, after that everything worked great.......

Thanks for the quick answer. I suspected that was the case. I have used the HOw to before, but was not sure about MMC 7.5. Now I know.

    Thanks again.
