Codec BIG BIG Problem Ukward !!

Hi, I have a problem playing videos.. I have installed ffdshow + ac3filter + xvid + divx. When I run the video the image is all dark !!

But when I open the same video With another player with the other video still playing The image its normal ! Same if open with 1º BsPlayer 2º WMP or WMP and BS.

So the codecs are there but only show the image on the right way after opened one player with other one running.

I installed Bs player and Bs player pro at same time so problem can be from there i don't know.

How can I resolve this problem ? Or delet all codecs ? Ps-I have tested with all type of players and is the same thing.

Have you tried change the graphic card overlay settings? Control Panel->Display->Settings->Advanced ? I have tons of color,brightness settings for video playback for my ati card.

Your problem is definitely in the overlay settings. Only one program can use overlay at a time. So the first instance of WMP get the overlay hardware with the bad settings (overlay creates a hole in the desktop through which the video is seen). The second does not, the video data is blitted directly to the desktop.
