I just purchased The Breakup and wanted to make a backup in case the original got destoryed (I got two crazy kids that like to use DVDs as frisbees). I have backed up tons of DVDs before by using DVD Decrypter without any problems - especially their cartoon DVDs. In fact, I love that program. However, when I tried to backup The Breakup, it comes up as some CSS/CPPM Protection and will not rip. It gets to about 1% and wont read it. I've even tried it on my other computer and the same thing happens. Yet, when I put it in a DVD player, it plays fine. Is there new copy protection stuff that DVD Decrypter cant do? If so, what might be a better program? Maybe there is some setting that needs to be adjusted in DVD Decrypter?
Thanks

RipIt4Me is probably the best at present and DVDFab Decrypter is also good. DVD Decrypter is no longer updated and won't work on the newer encryptions. RipIt4Me uses DVD Decrypter, along with some other tools in one package. It's easy to use. Both programs are freeware.
