    Hi,

I am trying to convert my movie to dvd using ConvertXtoDVD....however my movie is split into two 700mb avi files....e.g CD1 and CD2

I tried adding both files but they seem to show up as two seperate files on the dvd menu.

I would obviously like them to be played together as one whole movie.....should I join the files first using something like virtualdub and then add them to ConvertXtoDVD....thanks

In ConvertXtoDVD, after adding your 2 CD's go to Settings/Authoring and the click on Sequential Playback and then convert. Both parts will be joined.

Worth a try, but unless they have changed things recently, all this will do is make them play back continuously. They will still be two separate titles and appear as two references on the menu.

Either join them before hand (risky, often produces audio problems), or convert with ConvertXtoDVD, and import the results into TDA. Put both halves on the same track, remove the chapter stop automatically placed at the start of part 2, and the playback should be seamless.

    Hi there,

FALSE, they are treated as 2 different titles.

But will senquentially play on your DVD player is you have enabled [X] Sequential Playback.

A true merge, 2 .avi to become 1 DVD Title will only be supported in the future I was told by VSO Software Officials.
