Still works like I'm in the office, They can see my screen since the PC I'm USING is in the office. They can record my calls and see my daily stats.

What kind of a man are you? The guy is unconscious in a coma and you don't have the guts to kiss his girlfriend?

I don't blame you, I would rather smash my fingers one by one with a hammer while licking a locker room urinal than drive in traffic around DFW.

I work from my apartment in Dallas when not travelling so that I don't have to subject myself to that torture. I find I get much more done from home because there's nobody to distract me. Sometimes I drive north to the coffee shop for a few hours of work just to get out for a while, usually combine it with any shopping I need to do. It's so nice being able to work in your shorts with the carafe of good coffee sitting next to your desk and not worrying about packing a lunch or spending money on going out. And then there's the savings in gas and the wear and tear on your car. It is pretty nice so enjoy it

Exactly! I've not had shoes on all day. Meanwhile I need another PC because my backlog of stuff to backup could sure be cleaned up fast being home all day.

  9. Perhaps look at a Core 2 Duo machine - I just built one, and it's incredibly quick.

My main machine is a Pentinum D 2.66ghz. I just don't think converting a DVD, playing WoW, AND taking call notes is going to work well on a single box.

  13. That's what I'm saying - if you're building a new machine (as in, retire your current one to video encoding and other tasks) then consider a Core 2 Duo CPU for your main machine.

oh.... well I'd consider it but likely it will be a budget machine so I bet I'll end up with an AMD in it.

I often have customers say "when I called earlier into your india support center..." I take joy in informing them there is no India support center and though we have people of all nationalities working here all of us are in the Dallas TX area.

Well my first week of working at home is over and it went pretty smooth. Should be even better next week because on Thrusday they are going to upgrade my wirelessto a bigger antenna on the new system which they say is even better then the old one.

Have I mentioned that my crappy Wireless ISP cleaned up their act in the last month or so and are kicking some serious ass now? They even officer a full 1mb connection now. Yeah slow by Cable or DSL standards but blazing in my town.
