problem using nero

i have used your topic on how to burn using nero and followed the instructions exactly and i get a message saying burn completed successfully but i cant seem to play the vcd on my p.c. (what seems to be the problem) do you have to format the blank c.d. before you start the process and if you do what program can you use to do this. (HELP PLEASE)!!!

Dumb question, but do you have VCD player software? If not go to the Tools section and download one. Media Player can't do this. Have you checked the CD in explorer to make sure that the files are there? CDRs don't have to be formatted, they are ready to go right out of the box. Give us a little more info on what you have.

i download a movie from morpheus either a avi,divx, or an mpeg file and when i burn it using nero it converts the file to the right format for me then burns the c.d. when i go to play it it wont work i have checked the c.d. to see what is on it and i get a list of 4 items (vcd,cdr and 2 other items cant remember)do i have to convert any files to dat and if so how do i do that and do i need a new player which will play v.c.d. i have windows media player 7.1 and also real player 8 plus .
