Has anyone here who makes DVD-Video's noticed that when your source file is MPEG2 and you make a DVD-Video DVD then you go to playback the DVD it cuts off about 2 seconds early to jump back to the menu? When I use a source file that is uncompressed like AVI it plays perfectly from the DVD-Video DVD then jumps to Menu.
    Any thoughts on this?
What I used to make DVD-Video is Ulead Video studio 9, Roxio Easy Media 7.5 and a demo version of DVD Lab Pro 2. All have simulair results.

It is something about your video or your encoding

When the original source file is played (MPEG2) the end fades to black and stops as it suppose to. I find it hard to believe noone else burns dvd's the same way didnt notice the Fallback to menu to early issue.

I have used DLP for a number of years, including the current version 2, and have never experienced this problem.

That you are seeing it on several different packages suggests that the problem could be your player, rather than the authoring.

Describe your entire process, from raw video to finsihed disc. All software used etc. Maybe something will stand out.

Injesting video using Roxio or Ulead as Mpeg2 6mbps CBR. The video gets trimmed edited in MPEG Video Wizard. The video gets rendered out as automatic out of MVW. THe MPeg2 files get used in a play out system but then we sometimes make DVD-video for general viewing. SO Using Roxio or ULead I tried them both. I make a DVD Video disk with a menu as there may be multiple shows but regardless with one show or more in the menu the same thing happens once the DVD-Video is made then completed. These DVD-Video is being done on a Dell GX520 PC P4 2.8 1 gig ram. Any other details ask me.
