Are there any good ones we should bookmark ? Ones with a broad coverage ? This would be an alternative to just trying your luck with a Google or OTH (ftp) search, which can be time consuming.
Example: VH User Reviews praise an older version, vs. the current one, but the links or Home Page sites only have the most recent version, or maybe the last couple. If the software Tool happens to be hosted on Sourceforge, it may not be a problem, because they often keep stuff going back for many released versions. Otherwise, you have to hunt around.
There are probably software repositories like this, official or otherwise.
