    I need to find a codec that will allow me to open AVI files in ImagePro Plus. The AVI files were transferred from my SONY DCR-H26 camcorder (with miniDV) and saved onto my computer with software that came with the camcorder (Picture Package). I would like to open the AVI files in ImagePro plus to analyze them, but I cannot, I get an error message. I contacted Media Cybernetics (the company that produces ImagePro) about this and they said I need a codec that will allow me to open the files in a non-microsoft program. I downloaded 'afreeCodecVT' to try to locate the codec I need, but that software could not recommend any codecs. Any suggestions on what codec I need? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

    Try a dv codec like panasonic dv codec.
