This is probably a stupid question. I have a fairly new laptop, and whenever I try to play a DVD, or any video for that matter, the volume on my speakers is so low you can barely hear it. I have used Windows Media Player, Real Player, Nero Showtime, and Quicktime. I have also gone through all the settings in Windows, with no avail. I use Ace Mega Codec pack, I previously was using K-lite, changed to ace, hopin maybe it would solve my volume problem. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

Have you verified the individual sound settings under the advanced tab?
Depending on your mpeg2 codec, sound volume can also be set within the codec itself.Google is your Friend
