    Hi there,

I'm using Vegas 6, and I'd like to know how to slow down the speed of an audio file. I'd like to get a deeper and slower voice from a clip I have.

    Any help would be appreciated!

    Thanks!

I don't use Vegas, but if you can pull the audio out in WAV format, or MP3 if it's a MEG-4 (AVI) type clip, you can use an audio editor. I use the freeware Audacity. It has a pitch filter, just try some different settings. If you were to slow down the audio, you would likely have sync problems, so a pitch adjustment may be what you are looking for.

Other audio editors, like Goldwave or similar probably have the same type of filter or adjustment.

If someone knows how to do it within Vegas, they may let you know.

    And welcome to our forums.
