    It should be possible to cut a segment (or segments) from keyframe to keyframe in an MPEG file and save the rest (minus the clipped segments) without needing to reencode (and thus lose quality) ... shouldn't it?

    Is there any tool that can do this?

    VideoReDo for mpeg. It will only reencode at the cut point.

    Thanks for the tips. Are there any freeware tools that can handle clipping w/o reencoding?
