  1. Hey all!

Got some problems with my Nerovision.

When i want to burn a DVD it fails. I've tried 3 times in a row now and it keeps failing.

    in error log it says:

    [17:58:41] NeroVision 5:58:39 PM #22 CDR -1046 File ThreadedTransferInterface.cpp, Line 1614
    [17:58:41] NeroVision Illegal disc
    [17:58:41] NeroVision
    [17:58:41] NeroVision 5:58:39 PM #23 TRANSFER -27 File ThreadedTransferInterface.cpp, Line 1614
[17:58:41] NeroVision Could not perform start of Disc-at-once
    [17:58:41] NeroVision
    [17:58:41] NeroVision 5:58:39 PM #24 Phase 38 File APIProgress.cpp, Line 273
    [17:58:41] NeroVision Burn process failed at 2.4x (3,324 KB/s)

I dunno if there's something wrong with the discs I use....they r common DVD -R discs.

    Anyone got any clues??

    Cheers for now

I gave up on Nero long ago, so I could be right off target here - but are you sure it's a DVDR ?

As guns1inger pointed out, they are either CDR's or you have a faulty burner.

  4. How old is your burner? The log says burning at 2.4X.... Are you trying to use for example 16X discs

  5. The burner is 3 years old give or take (NEC DVD RW ND-2500A), and yes i'm trying to use 16x DVD -R discs. Is that the problem?

Yes. I have the same burner and hit the same problem recently using TDK 16x discs. I solved it with a firmware upgrade. I used the hacked 2.18 revision for the 2510A, which gives DL capabilities as well. Search for it on rpc1.org

Note : you wont get 16x burning out of these discs, but you will get 8x and they will be recognised. I have had it in for 2 months or so with no problems.

Its reporting "bad media" ... take them back for exchange .

It happend to me using new tdk's (nolonger produced by tdk = rubbish)

Consider verbatim's ... esspecially when it come's to long term storage ... they out last most brand's .
