I've encoded some flash video for a website I'm doing. Had a friend in another state try to go to the website and play the video and he says he's only getting audio, no video.
His info:
Linux (SUSE 9.3 distribution, but with occasional upgrades that I do) 2.6.11.4 kernel build
Firefox: 1.5.0.1 (the Flash plugin is at version 7.0.63.0)
I don't know much of anything about Linux, but I'd like to know if Flash Video (.FLV) is supported for this operating system. He does have the Flash plugin for his browser as stated above.. I encoded using the On2 VP6 codec..
Thanks
Try StreamFab Downloader and download from Netflix, Amazon, Youtube! Or Try DVDFab and copy Blu-rays! or rip iTunes movies!

FLV4/5 are only supported since flash 8. You would need to encode with FLV1 (Sorenson Spark).
Not sure what flash version is available for linux since I run x86 64 and last I checked they don't have any version for that. -
thanks for the reply.. shortly after I posted, I found a pre-release/beta page for the flash player. Sure enough after getting that Beta, the video worked perfectly. Adobe, for whatever reason just hasn't released it yet.
