Does anyone know if there is a way to remove Nero Showtime by itself? It's taken precedent of all my video file types that I wanted Media Player Classes to play. Also, all my video icons are showtime icons. Please help if you can.

  2. To remove Nero ShowTime, I believe you have to completely remove Nero 7.

To fix your problem, do the following:

Go to one of the files you want to open with Media Player.
    Right click on the file.
Move Down to 'Open With' then select 'Choose Program'.
Go through the list of available programs and click on the player of your choice.
Check ' Always use the selected program to open this kind of file'.
    Click 'OK'.

The file should now open with the player you chose and all the icons on your computer for that file type should now be for the player you chose.

  5. What jonas said, is true, that is the only way to change the file associations. If you had Total Commander instead of only Windows Explorer there would be another way.
    www.ghisler.ch for that one.
