  4. I found this M8
I have not tried it yet, but here it is.

I found this on the TMPGEnc support page:

Here is my solution to the MPEG2 30day limit on TMPGenc:-

When it is first run, on both my computers, TMPGenc creates a key in the registry under: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\CLASSES\CLSID\ called {63902277-B101-4049-8B46-C24B67E155E5}. If this key is not present TMPGenc assumes it has not run before and gives you 30 days.
To delete this key I therefore created a Regedit file, using notepad, called it TMPGreset.reg and saved it in the TMPGenc directory which on my computer is on C: drive in C:\Program Files\TMPGenc.
This is the contents of the Regedit file:-

    REGEDIT4

    [-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\CLASSES\CLSID\{6390227 7-B101-4049-8B46-C24B67E155E5}]

Next I created a batch file to first execute the regedit file and then to start TMPGenc. This then resets the date everytime I run TMPGenc. Again I used notepad, called the file TMPGenc.bat and saved it in the same directory. Obviously if your directory is not in the same place you need to ammend the text accordingly.

This is the contents of the batch file:-

    regedit /s "c:\Program Files\tmpgenc\tmpgreset.reg"
    "c:\program files\tmpgenc\tmpgenc.exe"

Next using explorer I right clicked on the batch file, selected properties, selected the program tab and selected Run minimised and Close on exit. Then I selected change icon, browse, navigated to the TMPGenc directory and double clicked on TMPGenc.exe then selected OK. this changes the Icon for the batch file to the same as the TMPGenc icon. I then placed a shortcut to the batch file on my desktop and I use this to open the program.

This works like a charm and is ingenious!
