I'm trying to make a three screen menu in Pinnacle Studio 9.

I have no problem laying seven buttons (rectangular, wide and stacked vertically) out with previous and next buttons (round) at the lower corners of the screen.

I have no problem linking all seven of the buttons on the first two screens to chapters plus two buttons on the third screen to two chapters.

When playing the menu, all functions work properly.

The problem is that I cannot seem to have appropriate text for each button of each screen.

If I set text next to smaller buttons, the text from the first screen shows up on the subsequent screens - I can't have the text change to properly identify the buttons on screens 2 and 3.

It would seem that the text that you associate with each chapter should be able to be displayed on or near the button for that chapter, but I don't know how.

Any suggestions would sure be appreciated.

Hi, I'm shooting in the dark here, I never worked with menus much in Studio
I think Studio is assuming the text belongs to the background graphic, not to the chapter button.

    Maybe -
In the Menu Editor, try using the Group button to group the textbox with its chapter button.

I've never done this, so it might work just right, or it might make the text highlight along with the actual button when selected, or it might not work at all.

If it doesn't work, maybe post at the Pinnacle Studio 9 users forum.

post back how it goes, I'm curious to know.
    good luck

    I believe you are correct.

    I've got it working now.

    Thank you for the tip.
