I'm trying to Back UP a disc I suspect has Ripguard. Can anyone point me in the right direction on how to remove the Dummy components in the VOB manually? Ive downloaded Vob Blanker with no luck. What Im really looking for?

Since on one else has replied yet, I can tell you to use the most recent AnyDVD or DVD-Fab Decrypter (not DVD-Decrypter) and that should take care of the RipGuard. Some people say to use VobBlanker on DVDFab-ripped DVDs to blank out any remaining bad chains, though others say not to.

videopoo,
I'm pretty sure you don't really want "to remove the Dummy components in the VOB manually". Even if that is what you want to do, you wouldn't be able to get past the ripguard to move the files to your hard drive so you could work with them.
A simple, easy way to remove ripguard, arccos or any of that other nonsense is to rip the disk using a freeware program called RipIt4Me. It not only removes the garbage, but also cleans and repairs it internally, restoring the files to dvd specifications...all with just one mouse click.
If you decide to give RipIt4Me a try, it would be a good idea to save a copy of the guide (available on the same website) to your hard drive, so you have ready access to it the first time.
If you have any problems or questions, post back to this thread.
