For public domain films, including older movies, cartoons and a wide cariety of other material you can go here -> http://www.archive.org/details/movies

I came across this a while back :
http://www.publicdomaintorrents.com
Apparently they are public domain , and since I last visited , they have become more concerned with portable players ... use shareaza to download them ... if you want the original's which were over 352x288 , do a search in shareaza by name and then see what info shows up in each available download .
As for music clip's , you can get plenty through windows media player ... but you may need a specific tool that traps the url's and downloads them ... just search the forum or ... get Net Transport (a free download manager)... click job, new download, and paste in the url that begins with mms ... It will save the video to your hard drive. -
Holy shit! What a treasure trove of public domain classic cartoons. They have a whole slew of Betty Boop, some Fleischer Superman shorts, Bugs Bunny, even Felix the Cat! Looks like I will be consuming some bandwidth for a while.
