Creating Audio DVD

Hi,

I'm trying to create a DVD which contains only Audio.
I have 25 podcasts of one hour with a total of 3,6gB

With DLP2 I was able to make Audio-Only titles.
I made 25 movies containing the audio.

Made 3 menu's:
Root1: selection #1 - #10
Root2: selection #11 - #20
Root3: selection #21 - #25

First play and Title button are set to Root 1.
And root 1 links to root 2, root 2 links to root1 and 3 and root 3 links to root 1 and 2.

In the debug it runs perfectly.. can enter each movie on the dvd and go back to the menu..

When I start compiling, it only takes a minute before it says it's done.
And my folders show a vts.bin file of 20mb, Video_ts: VTS.PGC (6kb) VTS_01_1.vob (238mb) and then VTS_01_2.vob till VTS_01_9.vob are all 0 bytes.
What's happening???

What format is the audio in ?
How did you get it in that format ?

all ac3 files...

podcasts are originally m4a files..
i let i-tunes convert them to aac files, then converted them to mp3 files with Xilisoft Audio Convertor and then
let dbPowerAmp converted them to wave files with ac3 conversion.
When importing them into DLP, it asked to write another header, so it made an ac3 format of it...

But strange thing was, in version 1.6 it was compiling and muxing for 17min.
In that version I made it with menu's which contained the audio-tracks.. only got a conversion error after a few attempts, cause
I made some beginner errors with the menu's..

But with the release of 2.0 I wanted to use the Audio-Only thing... but now my old project with all the menu's doesn't compile either..
So think it's a problem of this 2.x version

I haven't had any problems, but I create my AC3 files using the certified encoder from Sony. DLP can be very picky about the quality of source, especially ac3. The fact that DLP whats to re-write the header make me suspicious of the source. Also, I would skip the mp3 step and save as uncompressed wav. They are already compressed enough without throwing in the indiginty of mp3 as well.

Try convert a few with ffmpeggui to see if they compile.

ok, will give it a try, but I think it's really strange that v2.x works a lot different from v1.6 with compiling..
will let you know when I converted with the ffmpeggui prog.

V2 has a whole new engine for muxing. Perhaps it is more strict than the older one.

but what is the best way to convert an m4a file to ac3 then?
Cause ffmpeggui doesn't read m4a files...

wait.. just convert to wave file.. but that's a lot bigger in file size.. will give it a try..

yeah think there is the problem, cause it doesn't start muxing at all in V2

replaced all audio with new AC3 files...
and removed all images from backgrounds etc.

made new ac3 files.. same problem..

1 file works.. but more movies.. no success!

tried now the same with importing WAV files into DLP.
error because of the 44,1kHz.
Used Quick-lab MPEG Encoder to convert them to MP2 files...

1 Movie > Works

More Movies > Same error :S

No menu's, only 2 movies (audio-only)

Finally did the job...
The problem of rendering was, that I only could use 8 Audio-Only Movies in 1 VTS.
So I made 3 different VTS compilations and put these as one into a complete Compilation.
That did the job!
