Downloaded MPEG 1 wrong length

I download an mpeg and its total running time is shorter than the movie. I can slide the progress bar back and see other sections, but I cannot roll it as one complete movie. It is the same using BS player, Windows Media, Real or Divx player. Some of these are paused downloads. Am I not downloading some part of the file? Can I convert it in Premier or using LSX mpeg encoder and get the right length? Is there a tool out there that can fix this?

If it's a corrupted file and parts are missing, not much you can do. Try playing it in VLC media player. It can play some incomplete files better than the others. If it finds the same problems, then just delete the file and start over.
