  1. Help. I have converted an AVI file into an MPEG file using TMPGEnc program. When I played the MPG output file with windows media player, this shows at the bottom of the screen:

    "LEAD MPEG2 Eval Decoder (2.0"

Why is it happening? But when I played it with other mpg players like VLC media player or Intervideo, it's not there--- it only shows on Windows Media Player...

So is there a chance that this demo message might show up after I burned the MPEG into DVD?

Please tell me what that means.... How can I find a solution to this issue.

Thanks for your time. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

You've got a trialware mpeg decoder installed. See if there is any app in install/remove programs that fits the bill (Lead is a lead)
Or try finding the codec using CodecSniper, and have it removed.
VLC (and obviously WinDVD) uses its own decoder - that's why the text doesn't show when you play it using that app.
Elecard codec has a similar effect.
...and it won't show up on your DVD, unless you reencode it using an encoder that uses DirectShow to read the mpg - then it may be rendered into the mpg itself.
