    Is there a way to extract the audio from a rmvb file? I don't want to convert it to avi just to extract the audio

    You could try SUPER, but RMVB can be difficult to convert

    You want to extract or decode though? So .ra or .wav? Audio is usually aac these days so it isn't that difficult to work with.

    SUPER should be able to do that then since mencoder and ffmpeg can.
