  1. Hi,

I've a question about DVD Slideshow GUI.

This program is great but the help is more than a piece of crap.

Where can I set the duration for the slides ?

I saw a field called Duration but I think it only affect the transition length.
There is also a field called Exposition, what does it do ?

Sorry for such stupid question but it's a real pain to restart encoding all the slides to video (QuEnc is not a fast encoder).

    Thanks.

  2. Sorry about the help. This is not a finished version, but it is working very well.

Expositon is the length of the slide in frames.
Duration is the duration of the transition.

Any other words you would find more logic?

    Have fun,

  3. Thanks. It's ok.
For transition and duration, it should be good to put the unit just after the input box (frames or seconds).

    ie:
    Duration: <text input> frames

It's not easy when the unit is not specified because the encoding phase is not fast and it's a pain to restart all the encoding because of a wrong entered value.

  4. There isn't room for that in the window. But I'll add an explanation in help the next time. I guess that I was hoping that by seeing the default values ex. Exposition: 100 that people would figure out that it wouldn't be seconds. And by the order Slide - exposition - animation - transition - duration reading from left to right it would be logic what meant what.

If your unhappy with the encoding times of QuEnc you can just export an .avs file and use what ever avisynth(.avs) encoder you like.
