I have a bunch of video files but the audio volume on them are really low, you have to jack up just about every volume setting on the computer to get it to play normally. Is there a program or something that can just take a wmv file, increase its volume, and then make it a new file? Thanks!

ok, i see what i have to do to get the file reencoded with higher audio volume, but I think there's something wrong with my application or computer: There's supposed to be 4 or 5 controls in the "audio panel" in Windows Media Encoder, but instead the audio panel loads no controls and all grayed out or only has a volume display. How might i fix this?

OK, worked out the audio panel issue, though I just did some test recordings, and apparently i set the video source as an wmv file, and the audio from system mixer. But the new encoded file doesn' thave sound. Most likely because WME9 is taking video fine, but the audio is not played and so not encoded during encoding. Does anyone know of a way to jack up the volume of a wmv file, not necessarily using Windows Media Encoder?? Thanks in advance!
