  1. I have a DVD that I have created myself (with material I shot myself but no longer have the source tape) which is in PAL format. There are no menus, just video. I need to send some copies to the US and need a quick and easy way to convert this DVD to NTSC. I have a DVD writer and Adobe DVD Encore and Sony DVD Architect, plus a few other apps I'm not that familiar with, but I'm not too technically savvy so something straightforward really would be preferable! If I have to go somewhere and pay for this to be done I will, but obviously I'd rather do it myself if possible. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks...

You might try ConvertXToDVD. It's not the best way to do the conversion, but the quality is decent and it's definitely easy. Other methods can get a little complex but some can achieve higher quality: https://www.videohelp.com/convert#4;41

Almost forgot to add, you may need to convert the VOBs to MPEG for that type of conversion. VOB2MPEG is free and works well for that.
