  1. How can i make permanent subtitles for rmvb video format with .srt subtitle files using ffdshow.

I'm using either tmpgenc and winavi to encode, and using ffdshow for the subtitles.

it seems ffdshow only supports avi format, is it possible to let it encode rmvb format with subtitles too?

You might suggest why not just use vobsub, based on my experience with vobsub, sometimes there are some subtitles which don't appear. it is like a bug or something.

Anybody please give me idea on how to use ffdshow to encode rmvb with srt if this is possible.

    Thanks.

Best bet would probably be AVISynth with directshowsource() to load the rmvb and textsub to load the srt. ffdshow can render subs for rmvb files. You would need to set it to handle raw video though since it can't decode RV30/40 itself.
