  1. I have some movies converted to mpg4 and I wanted to write them on a single dvd. Individual movie plays on my dvd player if only one movie is written. But if I write all movies then I get a message that the disk can not be played.

Spacewise all the movies are well within the capacity of a dvd5 disk.

I used nero and burnt the dvd as data dvd.

What can be the solution and what should be the correct codecs that I should use. ( my dvd player supports mpeg4/ divx/divx ultra/ divx pro

    What is the player ?
What discs are you using ?
Have you tried each movie seperately ?

  3. My player is Pioneer 696 whiich supports mpg4 and divx both.

The disk I used was Samsung make DVD+RW

One movie was already burnt on this disc and was playing fine on my player. I then added 2 more movies to the same disk in mpg4 format and burnt as data dvd in multisession format

After that the first movie which was playing fine also stoped to play

    Did I do something wrong?

Bingo - you can't use multisession. All movies must be burned in the first session only.

yes use data dvd as your burning method .... burn all the movies at the same time (in a single session) and finalise the disk ... it should then work fine
