I'm trying to ripp a dvd using smartripper within xp and get nothing but errors. I've tried to play the dvd with windvd for a little while and still get the error. If anybody out there can either give me an alternative to smartripper or even a fix for my problem with smartripper please respond.
Thanx

sorry to see that no one knew the answer and through some searching on google I found it myself. So if anybody out there has this problem, do a search and download claddvd and not cladmdec(serial needed!) worked without a hitch

Actually that's a really lousy solution, because the latest Smartripper WORKS on XP... without a hitch.
The only problem I've even heard of with Smartripper was the ASPI-layer issue, but I think the latest Smartripper works even without that!
Didn't want anyone turned off of Smartripper for no good reason except for a silly post. It's one of the 2 best solutions for ripping (I would say it's #1). -
sorry. Didn't mean to upset you or the users of smartripper. I always use smartripper myself but if I had troubles with it I figured somebody could help me not put my post down. I found a solution myself and posted it here in case somebody else had the same problem. I don't think it is asking to much for help on a help forum. Again sorry for any inconvience.
