How to convert vob-files (in a VIDEO_TS-file) to an avi-file, keeping the subtitles and everything else? I have heard of the program X"ilisoft DVD Ripper" but it is only available in a trial verision (for 5 minutes ripping).

You should be able to load the IFO file into AutoGK, and this will automatically load the VOB files it needs in turn.
    If in doubt, Google it.
