Guys,
Looking to convert most if not all of my dvd collection to some kind of format to allow me to play back streaming through XBMC. I have it working lovely now, and it _nearly_ streams full dvd quality, however want it to work so it doesnt stop and catch up every 5 minutes or so (i know it's due to the Wifi connection and speeds required...)
So - I'll be looking to convert all Dvd's onto my Terastation and stream from there through the wifi using whatever codec would be:
1. Mostly compatable with other devices should i ever decide to change from the X-box to a proper Media streamer a-la Kiss Dp-600 or Showcentre.
2. outputting the best quality with the least transfer (looking a maybe 1-2gig/movie with near-dvd quality output??)
Was contemplating something converting to maybe Divx5/6 or maybe Xvid. If so, is there anything out there that will allow direct-from-dvd conversion to this format at all?? An all-in-one would be nice as there's over 100 of them to do!
Thanks
Paul
