I'm developing a trade show booth. I have a screen with two rear projectors. That works fine. I tested with two seperate laptops each running a flash driven video/text movie. I used actionscript to sync the videos at start (you have to hit the space bar on both machines at the same time). Then the movies simply play and restart. They stay in sync. I have the audio in one of the movies, and thus the audio stays synced. The movies are only 2.5 minutes long.
This is a lot of stuff to bring to a trade show, and too many things to break. If the laptops are not setup for the proper screen resolution, bad things happen. My marketing people who attend the show do not have the computer skills to troubleshoot.
I'm looking for a simplier solution. I want to have someone hit play, and then walk away. The movies should continue to loop indefinately.
I'm looking for some device that will playback two synced videos. Maybe this is a dvd player. Maybe this is a disc based player. It does not matter the media, as long as it is synced from the same device. My guess is that I would use s-video outs on the device to get to my projectors, but I could also use vga or some other cable.
What are your suggestions? Any help is appreciated.
Thanks.
