    We uploaded a MP4 file to our server, but when we put the URL for the location of the file, the page spits out a bunch of numbers and letters.

    Once you FTP the file to your server, what HTML code should be used to get it to play?

Your browser doesn't support GPAC ...
    Above would work for Osmo4. Could also embed for QuickTime or VLC. Corecodec I think also have a browser plugin.

    You should set up the mime type for .mp4 in your web server (video/mp4).
