Wouldn't reinstalling VLC also install AXVLC (if it's needed)? It should be in the VLC dir...

Is this what it says during installation?
If so, than open search for files and folders, type this file and search your computer for it. Sometimes during installation windows can't find a file, but that doesn't mean that is missing.

I have reinstalled VLC, but axvlc.dll is in the folder of ADSL which is a tv program.
Could you look for me in your VLC folder if you have anything in there? mine is empty

VLC is not working to watch TV,maybe something wrong with this file?

    Thanks

I see that my install of VLC has such a file, 587KB, v0.8.5. In c:\Program Files\VideoLan\VLC\ subdir

I also noted that in a previous version, 0.8.4b, it's in <program>\activex\ subdir, and has a size of 6 MB (!)

It seems to be for calling ActiveX stuff.

That's what I did - searched for the file, and it turns up in Program Files\VideoLan\VLC\ subdir, and is 6 MB. Not sure of what version I have tho.
