    Please could someone help...

I'm trying to Install ffmpeg onto Windows and all the exe's do is flash up a console and dissapear,
I've looked for installation guides but they are so over my head...

Rather than going out and buying a Mac (I've used ffmeg on a mac before) I wondered if anyone could help me out.

    Thanks in advance

    All the Best

  2. well there is no "installing" ffmpeg it's a CLI (command line Interface) program. this means it has NO GUI and it is ran via the command line. It's a great tools but you need to know how it works before you can use it.

  4. The are lots of buides here on videohelp, i would look through those. as a secondary question what are you wanting to do with ffmpeg? there might be a specialized tool ou there that does what you want and you won't need to learn all about ffmpeg

  6. MPEG1.... OK well you could try SUPER that tool should work verwell for you and it does have a GUI so it would be simple for you to use. and now for the third question this is just a pondering why mpeg1? you can use divx/xvid/h.264/X264 for better quality with smaller size.
