I am trying to play a video file sent to me from Sundance Media Group for the missing audio
portion of the training DVD that came with Sony Movie Studio+DVD Platinum, it happens to be right where he shows you how to edit and delete scenes.
Everytime I try play it a screen box comes up saying:

Windows cannot play file. If file is located on internet, connect to Internet. If file is located on
removable storage card, insert storage card.

I have cable for internet hook up and its on all the time when I am on computer.

I even downloaded Windows Media Player 10, hoping it might override if there was something
wrong with first download when I downloaded WMP 10 awhile back.

The media player comes on screen with file looking like its ready to play but when I hit play button - Cannot play comes up.

This problem has happened before and I just let it go, but the missing audio for the training DVD is too important this time.

I have gone to Sundance site, Vasst site, and Sony and cannot find the missing file for the DVD.

Did anyone else have this problem with their DVD, I returned first purchase of VMS only to have samething happen on next training DVD.

Not sure if this is forum for this question. Only second time posting.

Thanks for help, this one's got me stumped.

Have you tried any other video players? VLC, Media Player Classic.

    Baldrick,

Tried Media Player Classic, still couldn't get it play, I just copied link from my desktop to laptop
and was able to get it to play. Still don't know why it won't play on desktop, but I'll work on it someother time.

    Thanks

Run it through Gspot (newest) or VideoInspector, etc. to see what filetype it really is, and what codec(s) it uses. Then DL the missing ones...
