Hi there, I am playing around with DRM video using a demo video from EzDRM.com. I can play the demo file with either WMP9 or WMP10 after acquiring the license, but I can't find the DRM folder in my computer (ppl said usually in Document & Setting - All User). I can't also find InvidBox.key that ppl say will be inside this DRM folder. When I play around with FairUse4WM, it said that it can't find IBX (IBX component does not appear to be present) when I try to recover key. What gives?

Try looking in the folder for your user name (not All User).

I was informed by a kind soul on here that FairUse4WM is for audio files, not video. That's probably why you can't get the key.

Nope, I can't find it there either. I have set my folder to show hidden files & folder. I do search on DRM and Invid(Indiv?)Box.key and it return nothing. Weird. I have upgraded my WMP to 10 (at last) but still the same. However DRM material play just fine despite of this (I try the subscription demo which should make the WMP to recheck every time it want to play the video).
FairUse4WM can be use to unDRM video. However I think it only apply to the one that you have permanent license (not sure). Viodentia the maker has write in Doom9 forum that ppl can use video from EzDRM demo to confirm it is working.
Any other idea? I think the fact that I don't have DRM folder and Invid(Indiv?)Box.key make it can't find IBX component! I have to wait 4 more days before I can post in Doom9 forum. Thanks.

Acquire a license, then search your HD by time. You should see it as one of the most recently modified files.

Wrong. Out of curiosity, I tried one of the DRM infected samples from ezDRM (http://www.ezdrm.com/demo/Free/industrial.wmv) and ran it thru fairuse4wm after playing it and getting a license. FairUse4WM stripped the DRM out of it no problem. Sent it over to another computer and played it on that just to verify - played without problem, without asking for license.

I force individualised it on MS website. Now FairUse4WM does not complain about can not finding IBX component and even find IndivBox.key but then it open a window to ask for a license file which I don't know where windows put it. I search for Indivbox.key and again the search file return nothing!

I've never had any reason for finding these files (if just using FairUse4wm is your problem) - after individualizing , all I have to do is play the DRM infected file once (to get the license for it), then use FairUse4wm.

I believe when it asks you for a license file it wants you to open a file that you have aquired a license for already (wma or wmv). After it loads the license key, it shouldn't ask you for it again.

Ahh, OK. It seems I misunderstood what file that FairUse4WM asked. I thought it asked for *.key file while entering the DRMed *.wmv is actually what it means. Thanks, I think I have done it. However, why the file won't load on Media Player Clasic? But I am able to put it on TMPGenc and use WMP.
Still funny because I still can't find this DRM and indivbox.key using search file (even though FairUse4WM find it)!
