POWERPOINT guru needed
Hey everyone, any ideas would be great...
I found a site that has a template for powerpoint Jeopardy. You can edit it and then use it in class. The problem is that it's just straight PPT. You click to get the question and then click to get the answer. What I wanted to do was hookup 3 keyboards to the computer and split my class into 3 teams of 5. Then they could each have a particular key to "ring in" and answer the question.
Does anyone know if PPT has this capability? I was thinking of maybe a macro or some VB code that would "watch" for a particular keypress? I was able to get a slide with 3 responses on it, so when you click on a response it goes to a particular slide.....now I need to mimic that by using the keyboard and not the mouse.
Any ideas would be great....thanks!

Sounds like an interesting idea, but I'd look around for another solution. You're trying to turn a Yugo into a Porsche.

Thanks
Actually, I've found a way to have a slide contain multiple choices, and depending on which one you click it takes you to a "correct" or "incorrect" screen. This is done by clicking with the mouse, though. Now I just have to figure out how to do it with the keyboard instead, and I have my PorscheCurrently, one of the PPT shortcuts is to hit a number + ENTER to go to that particular slide. So, I can have each team be 1+ENTER, 2+ENTER, and 3+ENTER as their "ring in". The problem is if they hit ENTER by mistake, it switches to the next slide.
Alllmost there...
