  1. i have converted two movies with ffmpeg program on mac into a video ts folder so i can burn it to a dvd. i used the mpeg 2 ffpeg codec when i did it. I am new to using this program and left all the other settings alone pretty much. When i play it in a dvd player the video is jittery. The sound is ok but like every other second the video stops and goes. It does open fine in VLC player for some reason though. Is there anything i might be doing wrong

When you say it plays fine from VLC, do you mean from the DVD you have burned, or the HDD ?

If it plays fine from the HDD, but not from the disc, usually I would blame either low quality media or a poor burn.

What media do you use ?
What did you burn it with ?
Have you tested it in other players ? One bad test doesn't prove much on it's own.

  5. no no sorry its not only on the disc, like if i open the video ts folder in the software dvd player on the mac it skips still. it only plays smooth in vlc for me. theres is a constant choppyness throughout the video without using vlc. i was just looking, it also says "the headers are not complete" while im trying to convert with ffmpegx in the info.
