    Which DVD recorders are available in the US that can control a cable box?

    I have an HP m7250n Media Center desktop that does a wonderful job as a DVR and controls the Scientific Atlanta cable box just fine. Which DVD recorders have that same capability?

    Panasonic DMRE85HS and the Sony RDR-HX900 both do - most of the better ones do it seems if you look at the specs
