If you got it onto your HD, but it's still encrypted, you are using DVDDecrypter wrong!

Try Ripit4me (or DVDFab Decrypter + DVDShrink).
Also note that DVDShrink doesn't burn at all. It can launch other apps that can, but it doesn't burn itself.
    Avoid Nero.

    jno_6,

DvdShrink (by itself) can't handle the new copy protections they put on dvds specifically to keep you from making your backup. DvdDecrypter can't handle it either anymore (by itself). DvdShrink can't open the rip you did with DvdDecrypter because it's all messed up. That's why mats.hogberg recommended RipIt4Me (a freeware program). It can handle any copy protection, and let you get a clean rip onto your hard drive, so DvdShrink can work. If you use RipIt4Me your problems will go away...if you don't, you'll continue to have problems with some (many) dvds.

If you do decide to get RipIt4Me, save a copy of the guide from the website, too. You'll need it the first time.

You would also make your life easier, and your backups better, if you were to get a copy of a modified DvdShrink that lets you automatically burn with ImgBurn (also freeware). You can download it from here.

If you have any questions or problems, post back to this thread.

And since it's your first post, welcome to Videohelp.
