Can I name an audio event, so I can recognize it? It looks like an audio track has both an A and B part. I have a sound source that looks like the A is filled with what I want, but the B side looks noisy, but not has loud. Can I eleminate the B side, or make it the same as A?

I'll add another question. Is it possible to control the sound level over events on a track?

Add a volume envelope to the track, and you vary the volume up or down at any point you like. You can add pretty much as many points as you need, so every event can be adjusted easily.

I'm not sure I completely follow your question about A and B parts. Do you mean a stereo track with a right and left channel ? If so, what I would do is duplicate the audio so you have two versions. On one, right click, and select Channels -> Reverse. You now have track 1 looking like A B, and track 2 looking like B A. You can now right click on track 1, and select Channels -> Left Only, to get just A. Repeat on track 2, but click on Channels -> Right Only.

If you listen to this you should get effectively Joint stereo.

You can name events by right-clicking and selecting Properties. Here you can change the name, which be default is the file name or take. However I can't see a simple way to make this visible on the timeline.

Yes, channels. I found something on the 'quick'-menu that allows me to combine, or select a channel. It looks like we are on the same page there.

Sort of unfortunate about the labeling of an event. It's fairly OK with video, for but audio it would be helpful. I guess an alternative is to make several audio tracks, and just allocate the various audio clips I have to each track. Then I can identify them with the naming available on the track header.
